WHAT TO UPGRADE?!
***this is going to focus on TH7-10 because that's what we have the most experience with.

OFFENSE VS. DEFENSE
If you are in a clan that is in war and you just upgraded your base and you would like to upgrade your base in the standard fashion goto the bottom of this page and click on "How to upgrade Your Base." The following is for those players in a clan that is at war all the time...

The reason that we left the info up is because despite SuperCell making a constant and rather ambitious effort to put an end to the "Engineered Bases" and to discourage players from upgrading their bases in any fashion other than "as evenly as possible" we at Clash Made EZE (AKA EZE from Damage Inc) have still seen a noticeable advantage to all of the clans out there that have their offenses upgraded further than their defense.
AFTER 1 YEAR OF RESEARCH WE HAVE COME UP WITH THE FOLLOWING STEPS TO ENSURE A STRONGER BASE IN WAR BOTH FOR YOU AND YOUR CLAN

AFTER YOU UPGRADE YOUR TOWNHALL....
1. UPGRADE YOUR LAB 1ST. AS IT IS UPGRADING PLAN OUT YOUR 1ST TROOP UPGRADE AND HAVE THE ELIXIR OR DARK ELIXIR READY FOR THE MOMENT THE LABORATORY UPGRADE IS COMPLETED.
2. UPGRADE YOUR BARRACKS AND DARK BARRACKS. THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE NEW TROOPS FOR THE NEW TOWN HALL LEVEL

3. UPGRADE YOUR SPELL FACTORY AND DARK SPELL FACTORY. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR DARK SPELL FACTORY GET IT ASAP!

4. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR KING OR QUEEN YET NOW IS THE TIME. THEY CARRY SUCH LITTLE BASE WEIGHT AND ARE SO VALUABLE THAT THERE IS NO NEED TO WAIT A SINGLE MOMENT.

5. UPGRADE YOUR CLAN CASTLE AND YOUR CAMPS. EVERY CLAN CASTLE AND CAMP UPGRADE THAT IS COMPLETED YOU WILL GAIN 5 TROOPS TO YOUR TOTAL ARMY COUNT. YOU NEED THIS ASAP!
6. HUNT FOR DARK ELIXIR ONLY! YOU WILL GET THE GOLD/ ELIXIR AS YOU GOTO THE MIDDLE OF THE BASE FOR THE DARK ELIXIR. LEARN HOW TO USE ARMIES THAT USE LITTLE OR NO DARK ELIXIR TROOPS. THIS WILL HELP YOU STOCKPILE YOUR DARK ELIXIR FASTER.
DO NOT BUY OR UPGRADE YOUR DEFENSES YET!! IT WILL ONLY HURT YOUR CLAN IN WAR!
*** SOME EXCEPTIONS ARE HIDDEN TESLA AND AIR DEFENSES AND AIR SWEEPER... THEY HAVE SUCH LITTLE RAW WEIGHT AND TONS OF VALUE!

7. UPGRADE YOUR TROOPS! IF YOU MAX OUT YOUR TROOPS BEFORE YOU ADD AND UPGRADE YOUR DEFENSES YOU WILL BE ABLE TO 3 STAR YOUR MIRROR BASE IN WAR IF YOU DON'T GET A MISMATCH!

8. A GOOD QUIDE LINE IS THAT ONCE YOU HAVE MAXED OUT 3 TROOPS YOU CAN BEGIN TO UPGRADE THE DEFENSES THAT YOU ALREADY HAVE ON YOUR BASE AT THE RATE OF 1 DEFENSE FOR EVERY TROOP THAT YOU UPGRADE

9. BEGIN TO UPGRADE YOUR HEROES AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. NEVER GOTO THE NEXT TOWN HALL LEVEL IF YOU HAVE UPGRADES AVAILABLE TO YOU ON YOUR HEROES IN THE CURRENT TOWN HALL LEVEL.
10. ONCE YOU HAVE A MINIMUM OF 5 TROOPS MAXED OUT AND YOU FEEL COMFORTABLE ATTACKING STRONG BASES IN YOUR NEW TH LEVEL, START ADDING WALLS AND UPGRADE THEM TO MATCH ALL OF THE EXISTING WALLS. USING THE .5 METHOD

THESE ARE BASIC GUIDELINES TO UPGRADING YOU BASE USING THE .5 METHOD. THE .5 METHOD SIMPLY MEANS UPGRADE YOUR TROOPS AND TROOP SUPPORT STRUCTURES BEFORE YOU BEGIN UPGRADING YOUR DEFENSES.

BE A FAIRPLAY ADVOCATE - DO NOT CREATE ENGINEERED BASES! - YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE ADVANTAGES IN WAR TO WIN THEM.. YOU JUST NEED TO BECOME A GREAT ATTACKER!
