LIFE AURA EFFECT AND ETERNAL TOME ABILITY

Good things happen to those close to the GRAND WARDEN, they just feel better too. Then whenthings start to get serious the Warden protects everyone closest to him!


The Grand Warden does not actively defend a base like his predecessor Heroes The Barbarian King and the Archer Queen do. The moment a troop(s) come into the Grand Warden's range he turns into a statue on top of where his alter was resting when the attack began. The Grand Warden DOES continue to emit the Life Aura Effect on defense so proper planning and placement of his alter is crucial if players want to utilize these benefits. A good example of smart Grand Warden Alter placement would be in an area that the defending Heroes and/or the defending Clan Castle troops would also occupy. This would allow the Grand Warden Statue to heal any minor wounds that these troops may suffer during the raid. But, lets be honest… even Healers in the defensive Clan Castle can not keep up with most attacking players DPS from a full offensive disbursement of troops and the damage that they will inflict. The
defending troops and structures endure massive damage especially
if a Rage Spell is used, which is a common spell in the 1st phase
of most effective attacks.
Here are a few things to keep in mind while using the Grand Warden

The Grand Warden needs to rest if he takes on damage during a battle BOTH on offense and defense. Players can choose to SLEEP the warden which will show the Warden sleeping at his altar on defense instead of turning into a statue.

Be careful when choosing the Air selection on offense. The Seeking Air Mine will do significant damage to the Grand Warden and several of them would surely kill him.

Remember when upgrading the Grand Warden you must have Maxed Elixir Storages to hold the 10 million Elixir it takes to max out the Warden.. Only the Eagle Artillery and the lvl 4 Inferno Towers have such a large price tag!

Use the Grand Wardens long range to take down pesky defenders like the Hidden Tesla and Wizard Towers. The Barbarian King is another defensive target that the Warden can destroy without ever coming into their range and becoming a target himself.
The Grand Warden is a divers Hero. He is the 1st hero to max out in the same Town Hall that he is 1st purchases in. He is the 1st Hero with two abilities. He is the 1st Hero that players can choose between a ground version and an air version of him. He is the 1st troop to become a stationary building-like defensive unit when on defense. He is the 1st Hero to take Elixir to both purchase and upgrade AND is the 1st troop to max out at 20.. This gives the Grand Warden a much higher increase % per upgrade. The Grand Warden is also the 1st Hero or 1st troop in general to allow the offensive side of a TH level the clear advantage over the defensive side. The staggering number of TH11 attacks on other TH11s that end up in 3 star attacks is proof of the Grand Warden's supremacy and just think… he will most likely NOT be the last Hero in the game.. What will they think up next?


Grand Warden is unlike the other Heroes because when he is on offense he is a moving character and when he is on defense he becomes a stationary statue. Lets focus on offense for a moment.
Grand Warden has the option to fly or to be a ground troop. Now the Warden will jump over walls so the ability to fly does not change what he does that much BUT it will change which defenses will have the ability to target him. If you choose air the mighty Air Defenses will be able to lock on to the Warden but Cannons and Mortars will not. If you choose ground then you will be safe from the AD but those tough ground point defenses that are much more numerous will target your Hero. In war choose which "mode" you want to be in based on where you want to try to path you Grand Warden and which defenses he will encounter.
The Grand Warden has several special abilities. The 1st is the called the Life Aura Effect. This Life Aura Effect is a ring of healing that follows the Warden everywhere he goes and constantly heals every troop in its circle ( which is visible at all times in the game) Remember that there is a max HP increase that the troops within the effected area can hit. Unlike the 2nd special Ability (Eternal Tome) the Life Aura Effect is effective the moment you get the Warden and has a small 1-2% increase every time the Warden achieves the next level of play.
The 2nd special ability the Grand Warden has is the big one! Its called the Eternal Tome. This ability is available at lvl 5 and increases in strength every 5 levels after that. This Eternal Tome Ability gives every troop inside the effected area between 3.5-5 seconds (depending on the Wardens ability level) of invincibility that is indicated on screen when all of the effected troops turn a bright yellow color. What does this mean for the attacker? It gives the attacking player the ability to push his troops towards the core of the base and once the Eagle Artillery or the Inferno Towers lock on to his/ her troops they can pop the wardens ability and not only are the troops unaffected by any of the defenses or traps BUT they CAN BE HEALED.. Even if the Inferno Towers are locked onto them. This ability is the reason that TH11 players can take maxed out TH11 bases without the same type of effort that a TH10 player needs to 3 star a maxed TH10. Don't misunderstand.. Its not a gimme or easy but it does give TH11 offensive players a bit of an advantage over the TH11 defensive players. We are planning to add more material to the Grand Warden as gameplay continues for this troop!

GRAND WARDEN is the 3rd hero in Clash of Clans and he's available at TH11 for the mild sum of six million Elixir. He's the 1st Hero that is purchased and upgraded with Elixir and not Dark Elixir, giving all of the TH11 players a HUGE break from the tedious Dark ElixIr hunts. The Grand Warden came to us with tons of hype and this troop has managed to live up to every ounce of it!

The Grand Warden is a defensive AND offensive minded troop. He would be the product of the Healer and the Wizard if they decided to have a little clash baby.

GRAND WARDEN has several special abilities. On offense he has a life giving ring of modest healing that is called the Life Aura Effect. Once the Grand Warden reached lvl 5 he gains his special ability called The Eternal Tome.
