EZE TIP- Continued from Best Bases TH7.. Much like TH7, in TH8 you MUST consider the Pathing of the attacking troops in order to properly set up your base with certain patterns within your bases layout. Most troops simply go to the closest structure after they destroy the structure that they are on so many players think by setting up buildings like your collectors really close or even touching one another, that the attacking troops will simply continue along this path that you have laid out for them (which is usually set up on your defenses horizon allowing your defenses to blast them as they are clearing out your "trash" buildings, BUT that's not always the case! Many troops like the Balloons and in TH8 the Hog Riders, are defense only troops and they are only attracted to your defenses. This means that as the defensive base builder you must also set up your defensive structures in similar patterns that will influence the defense only troops to follow a path that you are designing instead of pathing directly into one of their primary objective buildings.

       To do this advanced players arrange their point (ground only) defenses up in front of their air defending defenses close together forcing the troops like the Balloons to go from ground to ground defense until they are gone and then and only then would they goto the air defending defenses. Meanwhile in consideration that the attacker may use ground attacking troops like the Hog Rider, they will lay deadly traps for the ground attacking troops like the double sets of Giant Bombs and Spring Traps to help dwindle the Hogs numbers down dramatically before they reach the core of the base where your Town Hall may be. This takes time and practice to get down, trial and error as well! Watch every replay on your base as well as try to use the Friendly Challenge mode to make adjustments on your base until the attacking defense only troops are pathing where you want them to which is usually over all of your traps with prolonged exposure to the defenses that they are most volnerable to... good luck!
