Poor BABY DRAGON gets so mad every time they don't have another air troop nearby to keep them company. nothing worse than a BRAG throwing a fit!

EZE'S GUIDE TO THE "NIGHT" BABY DRAGON
THE BASICS
Baby Dragons are available at Builder Barrack 6. The do area damage although the area is very small. They have all of the same features that the Home Village Baby Dragon has and is the only troop so far that goes unchanged when making the transition from Home Village to the Builder Base. The Baby Dragon is a formidable troop. They can be used by themselves with the Hero and hold their own against most of the most common base designs.

COST
You start out with 2 Baby Dragons per camp. Once you get to level 10 you get a 3rd Baby Dragon per camp. This is when they are really dangerous. Level 2 Baby Dragons will cost a pretty penny at 200,000 elixir They max out at level 16 at around the norm for troops, right at 3.6 million elixir. The real value you will get with the Baby Dragon comes in the from of their sturdy framework, starting out with 600 HP and maxing out around 1200 and from their signature ability the Tangent.

THE ABILITY
The Baby Dragon's ability Tangent is the same here on the Builder Base as it is in Home Village. As soon as there are no other air troops in their vicinity they become enraged and deal out anywhere from 40-160% extra damage. This means that is you are going to use the Baby Dragon with any long term success you need to learn spacing and timing right away. It is vital to the Baby Dragon's success.

THE SCOUT
When scouting there is really only a couple of things you want to look for. 1st if the Air Bombs are close to the edge then you can use a support troop like the Sneaky Archer or my personal favorite the Cannon Cart along with the Hero to take out the Air Bomb before the Baby Dragons ever come into play. 2nd is when the Air Bombs are centered you can then use the Baby Dragons to start off the attack and clear our for the Battle Machine and whatever secondary troop that the base calls for. Because of the efficiency of the Air Bomb along with the Firecrackers and Archer Towers (especially if they are set on fast mode) I try not to attempt to use a mass Baby Dragon Attack. Many players do use mass Baby Dragons with great success, they simply surround and conquer.... too boring for me. I would rather try numerous diversified attack before perfecting any mass attack of 1 troop.

EASE OF USE
There are 2 sides to the Baby Dragon. If you are a patient player and have maxed out the Baby Dragon to level 10 (BH5) and you have not pushed ahead to BH6 then you will enjoy the Golden Era of the Baby Dragon. Once you have 3 Baby Dragons per camp you will find that a good scout and a patient spread out attack will land you many 3 star attacks. If you have pushed ahead past BH5 then you have already noticed that Baby Dragons are the focal point of most people's defenses therefor the Builder Hall is often surrounded by air targeting defenses and the Air Bombs will be guarded by the Double Cannons. My point is, be smart and proceed with caution. Baby Dragons are the staple of many player's attacks, many of which have fallen into obscurity due to the difficulty of their little green fire-spitting Brags. They go from the easiest to use to one of the hardest to consistently 3 star with extremely fast. But… don't get discouraged Brag lovers, use your support troops like the Cannon Cart or the Raged Barbarians to fill in the gaps. Use surgical strikes with the Hero and the support troops to take down key air targeting defenses or simply turn the entire attack around and start off with the Baby Dragons to clear out for the Hero and company.

DEFENSE
On defense your main goal is to protect the Air Bombs. I see so many people place the Air Bombs on the outer wall virtually unprotected. This is begging for a Baby Dragon attack. Because the Mega Mines do not kill the Baby Dragons unless they are already barely airborne, I would not suggest setting them to air. (there are too many people using Raged Barbarians for that anyway) The best way to protect you Builder Base from the Baby Dragons is to set up like you would in the Home Village against Dragon attacks. Do you remember how? Set you air targeting defenses behind high HP buildings like your Storages, Watchtower Lab, the Clock Tower and of course the Builder Hall itself. Spread those air defenses out evenly throughout your base and try to be sure they ALL can shoot down a target that's on another air targeting defense. Watch your replays too! Make changes when necessary. I find people do not watch as many replays as they should be!

FINAL THOUGHTS
Like in the Home Village I would strongly suggest perfecting one (at least) ground based attack and 1 air attack. Baby Dragons are your air attack, at least until you have the Night Witch. Use a slow paced spread out attack. Remember timing is everything in a Baby Dragon attack. Good timing will help you avoid 2 things that will cause you Baby Dragon attacks to fall short. 1st is when they get too close they lose their Tantrum ability and then they are not doing enough damage to overcome the stout air defenses every Builder Hall comes equipped with. Second is that the Air Bomb is patiently waiting to find 2-3 Baby Dragons that have flocked together. Air Bombs do splash damage and would love to see multiple Brags come crashing down from the night's sky together. Finally max the Baby Dragon out in Builder Hall 5 and stay there until your entire Builder Hall is maxed out. Enjoy the 3rd Brag in your camps and the 3 star attacks it will allow you to have.
