  EZE'S GUIDE TO THE RAGE SPELL  

      The Rage Spell is the 3rd spell available to players once they have reached TH7 and have upgraded their Spell Factory to Level 3. Although all of the spells have their own unique effects and therefore have their own value, which is usually based on the players needs, this one is a little different. The Rage Spell may be the most used spell in the game. Why you might ask.. DUE TO THE POWER! As you drop the Rage Spell and hear the ROAR as the spell begins you will witness all of the troops swell up and become furious smashing juggernauts, it's a glorious sight to behold! Also, if used in an intelligent and methodical manner, players can distribute big bursts of damage in key locations on the base which will allow then to spread out their attack and cover more ground. This can be a win/ win.

       

       All troops gain from the Rage Spell but some troops are much more effective than others. Single housing space troops benefit from the damage increase BUT the speed increase can lunge them into oncoming fire from the defenses and due to their low hit points they become dust before they can do any real damage. Troops like the Valkyrie are an entirely different story. The next time you want a nice chuckle drop a Rage Spell on the core of a base as 8-10 Valkyries enter and stand back. They can level the core of a base in under 2 seconds! Another great troop to Rage is the P.E.K.K.A. Her power is already legendary but once she becomes enraged she can 1 shot most buildings and 2-3 shot Town Hall! The biggest factor that players Must always consider is the pathing of the troops that they are about to use the Rage Spell on. Always try to lead the troops with the spell that way they enter the spell and have as much room in front of them INSIDE the spell as possible. Try NOT to drop the spell directly on top of the troops because they will seem to simply run away from it time and again. The same concept is explained on the Heal Spell page in relation to the Hog Riders. You want the troops to stay inside the spell for as long as possible, this will take practice, trial and error!

       The Rage Spell can also be used on the Healers to increase the Healing power in a dramatic fashion. Any one in TH9 and above has witnesses attacks on their own base, watched the attacking player drop the Archer Queen down first with 3-54 Healers on her back protecting her.. This is called the Super Queen, Invincible Queen or most commonly the Queen Walk. If your defenses are set up to defend against these types of attacks (which takes grouping your defenses in several clusters in hopes if overpowering the Healers) you will get excited as the Queens health drops lower and lower and just before she dies the attacker drops a Rage Spell on his/ her healers.. NOOOO!! The Archer Queens health recovers back to full health in an instant because that Rage boosts the Healers ability to Heal several times over! So in some cases we will use the Rage Spell to help heal instead of helping destroy.

       One major factor to keep in mind. The Rage Spell does NOT stack with other Rage Spells or with the Barbarian Kings Special Ability so there is never a need to drop more than one Rage Spell on any specific location of the base at the same time.Use your spells wisely and be patient. Remember that using the spell too soon minimizes its effects because too few troops are getting its effects AND with that concept in mind, waiting too long and dropping the Rage on 2-3 archers at the end of an attack is also a bad idea. Try to use the Rage in the middle of your attack and if at all possible use it on the core of the base so your troops can eliminate the core quickly and then remove themselves from the core because of the vast number of defenses (on most bases) that have the core of the base well within their range!

      Using the Rage Spell properly is the key to its success. I often watch players use their Rage Spell at the beginning of a raid to thrust their troops into a base which may look impressive and even give that player a small advantage for a short time but I want everyone to consider the mathematics behind what your doing. If you use the spell when you have 25 out of 200 troops on the map(a level 3 Rage Spell to keep it simple) then you will have the equivalent of 62.5 troops attacking at normal damage for 17 seconds. If you wait and funnel your troops properly and manage to Rage your full army of 200 then you will have the equivalent of 500 troops attacking at normal damage. So, why would you want to use a spell and attack with 62.5 troops when you could attack with 500! Hopefully that put the spell's capabilities in a better light for you!
