EZE'S GUIDE TO THE MEGA MINE
DESCRIPTION
The Mega Mine is the Builder Base version or the Home Village Giant Bomb with one great exception. The Mega Mine can be set to either ground or air. The Mega Mine can not be seen by the attacker although it does leave an indication that it is there because the area that the Mega Mine will sit looks like an empty 2x2 tile area. This will go unnoticed unless the base is built with no other empty spaces anywhere else within the walls of the base. The Mega Mine will instantly kill all single housing space troops and it does area damage so it has the potential to wipe out an entire horde of the single housing troop. Unlike the Home Village you do not have to reset your traps between raids nor do you have to pay anything if they are triggered during your opponents attack on your base. The Mega Mine may only do just under 400 damage at maxed level but it plays a vital role on your overall ability to defend.

STRENGTH
The Mega Mine strength come in the form of mass elimination of Raged Barbarians, Sneaky Archers, Night Witches, Cannon Carts and Bombers when set to ground and in my personal opinion they should never be set to air with the popularity of the Raged Barbarians and the Night Witches. The effectiveness of the Mega Mine is all about where you place it and how well you disguise its location. A well place Mega Mine has been known to end raids faster than any other dingle defense other than the Crusher, which also has the power to wipe out every troop in it's range.

WEAKNESS
The Mega Mine does have a weakness as well and it is also related to the location that you pick out for it. If you place the Mega Mine next to a defense there is a good chance that your opponent will trigger it with the hero or with a Boxer Giant. It will still damage the big troops but you don't want to damage troops with the Mega Mine you want to eliminate troops with it. I believe setting the Mega Mine to air also decreases your overall ability to defend. It does not do enough damage to kill the Baby Dragons unless they are already severely damages and you would much rather see 2-3 Night Witches trigger a ground bases Mega Mine over the sight of 20 Bats disintegrating to one set to air.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The key to the Mega Mine having a big impact for you will be your ability to separate the attacking troops. (I gave a decent example of this on the Bomber page) In addition to trying to influence the tanking troops to move in a different direction as the rest of the troops and hiding the Mega Mine in between random collectors or other buildings that are less likely to get trampled by the Boxer Giant ot the Battle Machine, you want to have on of the Mega Mines hidden somewhere inside the Walls. There will be times that the attacking player will flood your base with Raged Barbarians and they will quickly level defense after defense unless their fate is to run over a Mega Mine location which will end the Rage Barbarians assault in an instant. You will want to try to hide the Mega Mine location where ever you decide top place it so try to avoid setting up your defenses elbow to elbow with no 2x2 spaces anywhere except where the Mega Mine is, that makes it too obvious. Just like in the Home Village a Builder Base with multiple empty 2x2 areas will make the attacker have to make an educated guess as to where the Mega Mine is. Finally some players have chosen to be less discreet about the location of the Mega Mine in exchange for setting up a potential kill zone for the tanking troops. They do this by placing all available Mega Mines right next to the Crusher. The combination between 1 or 2 Mega Mines going off and the Crusher damaging the heavy troops all at the same time could be just what you base needs.
