SHADOW DECK

Split Personality is the painting Ms. Noel Watchtower, mirrored and then instead of matching up the right side of the left painting to a mirror version of itself on the right painting, the two images were tilted at a slight angle with a vertical anchor point. (this just means that the painting on the left... the left sid of the painting would come towards the viewer a few degrees and the right portion of the painting on the left would get pushed away from the viewers perspective. On the painting on the right side, the left goes in and the right comes out a few degrees.) Tilting the painting and it's mirror causes them to meet at a different location and allow both sides of the painting to push their connecting point out of view, hidden by the painting itself. Without the tilt one side simply tucks behind the other side and you loose the mirrored effect.
