Faces of Hades

Sisters.jpg

There is a great backstory about this painting and Absence of God. Both created on the same night and ENA ran short on paint... then the weather turned and it dropped 40 degrees in a few hours. She claimed the two paintings were ruined and she would have to start over in the morning. The next morning she found her paintings looking different after they dried. I studied the two for over 8 hours the next day and found layer on top of layer of monstrous creatures on both (ENA wanted them both repainted not liking what she could see) That day we decided to do research on how someone could pour paint and come back to what we had found. She asked me to name the two paintings and this reminded me of an army of creatures rising up from below thus the Faces of Hades was born.
